Sales, deliveries brisk at CMK’s 235 Van Buren

Buyers continue to sign contracts for the new condos at CMK Companies’ new Loop high-rise, 235 Van Buren.

Sales at the 47-story tower have passed the 60-percent mark, and the CMK sales team is drawing up as many as 10 new contracts a month, according to Managing Broker Scott Hoskins. Deliveries are already underway.

Still available are more than 130 different floor plans, ranging from the $200s for a 522 square-foot studio to the $390s for a two-bedroom / two-bath unit. Penthouses in the building start as low as $335,900.

235 Van Buren’s homes feature 10-foot ceiling heights, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, European-style kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and master baths with marble vanity tops and ceramic tile floors and tub / shower surrounds.

Following his award-winning plans for CMK’s modern Contempraine high-rise in River NorthPerkins & Will Design Director Ralph Johnson drew up 235 Van Buren’s distinctive design, a combination of gray tinted glass and cantilevered balconies that at once fits in and stands out amongst the other soaring high-rises of the Loop.

Given its position at the corner of Van Buren and Franklin streets, just south of the iconic Willis Tower, 235 Van Buren offers its residents views not only of downtown Chicago, but also of the Chicago River, the Printers Row district of the South Loop, the Greektown, West Loop, and University Village neighborhoods across the river, and even the harbors and parks lining Lake Michigan to the east.

The location also ensures that buyers are just a short walk away from all the recreational perks of downtown Chicago, including Millennium and Grant parks, the Museum Campus, the Theater District, and the Magnificent Mile.
