New Home Notebook enhanced by more social media opportunities

Finding new information and updates on new home developments can be elusive to prospective homebuyers.  Web sites don’t change very often and what they often lack is third party input and conversations about the product and its progress.

“We all know what people are looking for online”, says Mike Scotty, CEO of New Home Notebook's creator, Chicago-based Data Based Ads, “they’re looking for peer reviews and comments, they’re looking for objective editorial coverage, they’re looking for participation from people who’ve looked at and/or live in these new developments. This is the content that we’re able to deliver on New Home Notebook.”

We’ve created a platform for our developer and builder clients to spearhead their social media marketing initiatives.  Our staff, in conjunction with the development team, will post relevant content to New Home Notebook on an ongoing basis and encourage homebuyer participation through our social media tools.  We then push that content and activity into many well-trafficked social communities, where search drives traffic to our clients through a multitude of channels.

Searching a new home community on New Home Notebook is simple.  Our database includes all the new home communities in the Chicago and its suburbs.  Developer client content includes news, blog posts, photos, video, reviews, comments, links and all the information that interests viewers and drives search results.

Documenting a new home search is a cinch for homebuyers.  A homebuyer can blog his/her search, post photos and video of the homes they’ve visited, and comment on a development’s member page.  All content is shared with the community and searchable, and all blog posts are fed into the main New Home Notebook blog for the benefit of all.

Homebuyers can choose to receive updates of activity on a development, whether that activity comes from the developer, editorial content from the New Home Notebook staff, or comments and reviews from the community at large.  The obvious benefit for builders and developers is that they can communicate with interested buyers throughout the decision-making process.

“We’ve built a very compelling site that incorporates and can adapt to all the new social technologies bombarding the marketplace”, says Scotty.  “We’ve seen a lot of buy-in to our platform despite a relatively tough market.”
