Chicago-area builders are reporting a “hot” trend in master bedrooms features – fireplaces. There is a resurgence in demand for this old-fashioned feature among buyers, they say, because of the charm and romance it adds to the room.

At Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, buyers are fond of the master suite fireplace, which is standard in select condominium floor plans.

While a fireplace may add a romantic or luxurious feeling to a master bedroom, it can also make the space feel cozier, especially in a more modern and urban home, added Art Bettuzzi, general manager for project sales at The Front Street Lofts.
